Vodafone Automotive 5375 Wired Siren

The 5375 is the new digital battery back-up siren from Vodafone Automotive. Being a true digital siren means that the siren communicates with the alarm via a data bus wire. When the alarm is armed the siren will sound if the alarm is triggered, or if it loses power, by either the battery being disconnected, or the wires being tampered with.

It also knows if the alarm is disarmed so you can disconnect the battery to work on the vehicle without it sounding. There is no need for an over ride key so the siren can be inaccessible.

5375 siren - Small size, big noise

5375 Wired Siren
It's small, but still bloody loud!

Vodafone Automotive 5375 siren specifications

It has big shoes to fill as it replaces the excellent 4310 siren that came with the 4100 Series Cobra alarm.

It’s about half the size of it’s predecessor, yet despite it’s diminutive scale still makes your ears bleed with 116dB @ 1m

It measures in at: 69mm X 52mm X 41mm.

This makes it great for installing in those tight hard to access locations which make it difficult for a would be thief to get at.

Which car alarms does the 5375 siren work with?

SIRENS 1
The 5375 and 5365 siren options side by side

It’s an option for the new 4822 alarm. The other battery back-up siren option is the wireless 5365. The siren is also backwards compatible with the 4600 series and 4100 series of alarms. There is a full list of compatible alarms at the end of this page.

Which Vodafone Automotive siren should you choose?

Well… They both workout about the same price once installed. The 5375 is more work as the cable needs running into the cabin, which on some new cars can be a real pain. My recommendation is letting your installer decide with is most suitable for your vehicle.

Fully Waterproof Siren

IPX7 Certification

The 5375 wired siren is certified as having an IPX7 rating. This means it can be be fully submerged in water down to 1 meter for 30 minutes.’

If you want to know more about water resistant IP ratings then Consumer NZ has a good page that goes into more details.

How does the 5737 compare to the competition?

Put simply. it’s on another level.

The only other siren that has an IP rating is the Cobra 5365.

When it comes to quality, effectiveness and reliability no other sirens come remotely close. Some are of best selling sirens from Mongoose and AVS are just not fit for purpose and look horribly outdated.

AVS Siren

The over-ride keys along with the WARNING sticker advising you not to get it wet should be a good enough reason to avoid the AVS siren. If you need this explained then you can read more here.
