Vodafone Automotive 5375 Wired Siren

The 5375 is the new digital battery back-up siren from Vodafone Automotive. Being a true digital siren it  means that the siren communicates with the alarm via a data bus wire. When the alarm is armed the siren will sound if the alarm is triggered, or if it loses power, by either the battery being disconnected, or the wires being tampered with.

It also knows if the alarm is disarmed so you can disconnect the battery to work on the vehicle without it sounding. There is no need for an over ride key so the siren can be inaccessible.

Small Size, Big Noise

It has big shoes to fill as it replaces the 4310 siren that came with the 4100 Series Cobra alarm.

It’s about half the size of it’s predecessor, yet despite it’s diminutive scale still makes your ears bleed with 116dB @ 1m

It measures in at: 69mm X 52mm X 41mm.

This makes it great for installing in those tight hard to access locations which make it difficult for a would be thief to get at.

It's small, but still bloody loud!
Which alarms will it work with?
It’s an option for the new 4820 Series of alarms. The other battery back-up siren option is the wireless 5365. The siren is also backwards compatible with the 4600 series and 4100 series of alarms.

Which Vodafone Automotive Siren should you choose?
Well… They both workout about the same price once installed. The 5375 is more work as the cable needs running into the cabin, which on some new cars can be a real pain. My recommendation is letting your installer decide with is most suitable for your vehicle.

The 5375 is certified as having an IPX7 rating. This means it can be be fully submerged in water down to 1 meter for 30 minutes.

How does it compare to other popular brands in NZ?
AVS Siren

The over-ride keys and the WARNING sticker advising you not to get it wet simply say all you need to know here.
