The Vodafone Automotive 4824 immobiliser comes with 2 ADR cards which disarm the immobiliser when in range. The system is designed to work with any vehicle to offer convenient protection.
The 4824 can also work as a basic CAN-BUS alarm.
How the 4824 immobiliser works
Automatic immobilisation
The 4824 automatically immobilises the vehicle 55 seconds after the engine is turned off and the ADR card goes out of range.
When the ARD card comes back into range, the immobiliser disarms so the vehicle can start as per normal.
Emergency disarm
Should you need to use the vehicle without the ADR card, the system can be disarmed by entering the 4-digit override PIN code.
4824 installation options
Standalone immobiliser
The 4824 can be installed as a stand alone immobiliser. This makes it suitable for vehicles which are vulnerable to modern car theft methods and would benefit from another layer of protection. It works independently from the factory security so has no impact on existing functionality.
It can also be installed in cars that don’t have a factory immobiliser.
Compact security
The 4824 is small so can be easily hidden, and it also looks like a factory part so can blend in with the other electronics with ease.
4824 CAN-BUS alarm
48XX Series
The 4824 is part of the 48XX series so can work as a CAN-BUS alarm in addition to the standard immobiliser features.
It is a basic, bare-bones version of the 4822 alarm system.
If you require a tilt sensor or ultrasonic internal protection, then you’ll need to upgrade to the 4824, but if you only require basic alarm functions. then it does the job very well.
The 4824 can also have a digital battery back-up siren added for increased security. Both the 5365 wireless siren and the 5375 wired siren are compatible.

Compatible vehicles
All of the vehicles that the 48XX series of alarms work with can be found here.
However, not all vehicles listed will work with the 4824. The 4824 does not support PLIP functions or additional inhibit inputs which are sometimes required. If you vehicle is one of these, then the 4822 will be a better solution.
