The new (2025) Vodafone Automotive 4822 alarm system
The 4822 is the new alarm from Vodafone Automotive. It replaces the 4600 series of alarms (AK4615, AK4627,& AK4698).

Comprehensive antitheft system
The Vodafone Automotive 4822 is incredibly versatile. It can work as a CAN-BUS alarm, a PLIP alarm, a remote alarm or a combination of all of the above to pretty much work in any vehicle.
Out of the box it is clear that you can customise the alarm to suit your budget, vehicle, and security needs.
Level sensor
A built in level sensor is included as standard. The optional level sensor for the 4600 series used to cost an extra $150.00
A versatile alarm platform
You can purchase the Vodafone Automotive 4822 as a CAN-BUS alarm that enables you to control it with your existing vehicle remote, or with 2 remote controls for older vehicles that require them.
Both systems are available in 3 levels, Essential, Advanced, and Ultimate which allows you to select the level of security you require.

Sirens (optional)
Next you can choose to add a battery back-up siren. This is an option as horn honk will be standard on most vehicles.
I recommend you let me decide which of the 2 sirens is most suitable to be installed in your vehicle.
More noise?
You can choose to use both sirens together. One for external noise and the second one fitted inside the cabin.
As me for a demo as it’s the set up I use in my won vehicle.
Ultrasonic Sensors (optional)
You have 2 options to choose from. The “A” Pillar sensors come in grey only, but I’m happy to paint them black to match the interior trim.
The new flush mount ultrasonic sensors come in both grey and black.

Drivers Card (optional)
The Automatic Driver Recognition (ADR) Card prevents the alarm from disarming without it being present.
It protects your vehicle against:
- Relay attacks
- Theft via stolen key
- CAN injection attack
- OBD Key programming

So does the alarm come standard with an immobiliser or if you want an immobiliser you need to fit the 8509?
The 4822 has a low current starter immobiliser built-in, but it requires the accessory harness to use it. It can also power an external relay.
For older, high risk vehicles without a factory immobiliser the 8509 is a recommended add on.
