If you are after a replacement remote for your Viper alarm, I will need to know the Remote Part Number (RPN). Viper has produced a huge number of remote controls over the years, many look alike. Don’t make a guess as you’ll probably end up with the wrong one..
You’ll need the correct one for your alarm system.

Getting the right Viper remote
I keep most of the current range in stock and should be able to get hold of most older models when required. I also keep a list of old user manuals so if you need one for your alarm then let me know.
All of the remotes I keep in stock are listed on the Remote pager the website with the part numbers next to the photos.
If it is not one listed then here is how to find your remote part number.
On the back of the remote, there is normally an FCC ID number. This includes the RPN (Remote Part Number)
It’s either a 3 or 4 digit number. Let me know this or the model of alarm that you have and I’ll do my best to get hold of one for you.

How much does a viper remote cost?
Prices vary so I’ll need to quote for each one. I should also be able to get remote controls for other Directed Electronic systems and the same rules apply.
It’s also worth noting that I keep a Bit Writer. This may be needed to unlock the alarm for programming.
Other DIE remotes
Directed Electronics make other brands of alarms including:
- Clifford
- Python
- Hornet
- Avital
The same advice applies to these brands too.

Whilst I won’t stock the other brands, the remotes are normally the same, but with a different branded case.
It’s still worth asking as I may have a second hand one kicking around, or be able to point you in the right direction.
