Viper 1505T siren for sale - Well below cost price
I’m selling these for $69.95 including GST which is the same price as the standard non battery backup siren.
The RRP shown on the Viper website is $139.95 so it’s a great deal.
How can I sell the 1505T below cost?

Excess stock
The Viper 1505T battery backup siren comes as standard with most viper alarms and remote start alarms sold here in NZ.
Vipers alarms come with the 514L non battery back-up siren, but all NZ stock goes through Australia where they swap the siren in the box for the battery back-up version.
For most of my installs I use the 514L siren which gets hidden. I then gain excess stock of the 1505T.
Why I prefer the standard siren

Compromised installation standards
As an installer who takes pride in their workmanship I’m a big fan of hiding the siren.
This makes it difficult to access and harder to attack. It also makes me work harder so I am well aware why most installers take the easy option and simply fit the siren where it is easy to get at.
Battery backup sirens with an over-ride key like the 1505T need to be accessible which in my view defeats the point of the siren being battery backup.
You can read more about which battery backup sirens are effective here.
What does the 1505T Siren sound like?
6 tone siren
As you can hear in the video, the siren cycles through 6 tones to grab attention.
If this is not your thing then there is a loop wire on the siren that can be cut to turn it into a single tone siren.
The 514L siren is also a 6 tone siren and sounds the same.
Will the 1505T work with non Viper alarms?

The 1505T will work with any alarm that has a + or – siren output.
It works with:
- Any Viper alarm or remote start alarm
- Mongoose (all systems)
- Cyclops/Dynatron (all systems)
- AVS 3010
It will not work with:
- Cobra/Vodafone Automotive
- AVS S5, S4, S3, A5, A4
