MindR Connect GPS Tracking Platform

MindR GPS tracking via your phone

MindR Connect is the dedicated GPS tracking platform compatible with the Vodafone Automotive SCD60 and SCD40 GPS trackers.

Instead of repeating what’s already out there, I encourage you to explore the MindR Connect app yourself to get a feel for its features and functionality.

The App is available for both Android and iOS, and was developed right here in New Zealand by Developing Automotive Solutions Limited—the official importer and distributor for Vodafone Automotive security systems in Aotearoa.

Alarm Functions – SCD60 Tracker

Features available for your SCD60 tracker will vary depending on the type of vehicle it’s installed in.

Vehicles Without CAN-Bus Support

For vehicles that do not have CAN-Bus, the intrusion alert function is not available by default, as the tracker cannot access the necessary vehicle data.

However, you still have two alternative options for enhanced security:

  1. External Alarm Integration
The SCD60 can be connected to an external alarm system. This setup uses the pager input on the tracker to receive signals from the alarm. When triggered, the alarm can alert the tracker to send notifications.

  2. ADR Card Functionality
An ADR (Automatic Driver Recognition) Card can be used with the SCD60 to arm and disarm the system automatically:

    • When the ADR Card is in range, the system is disarmed.

    • When the ADR Card is out of range, the system is armed.

    • If the vehicle’s ignition is turned on without the ADR Card nearby, an intrusion alert will be triggered.

Immobiliser Function

MindR includes an optional immobiliser feature that allows you to prevent your vehicle from starting. This function can be wired in by your installer if you choose to use it.

It’s particularly useful if you’ve misplaced your keys or need to recover your vehicle securely.

I use MindR myself and know it inside out—I’m happy to give you a demonstration if you’d like to see how it works in person.

MindR Connect Official Blurb

MindR Connect uses a powerful and compact GPS unit capable of advanced telematics (over 40 CAN bus parameters are available). The same unit also provides an OEM style alarm which is able send you real time alerts, sound the horn and prevent the vehicle from starting if it detects unauthorised access.

We break GPS systems down into 2 categories, active and passive.

Most other systems are passive systems which require you to return to your vehicle, find it has been broken into or stolen and then contact your provider to try to locate and recover it.

MindR Connect is an active system which constantly monitors your vehicle for theft attempts allowing it to actively raise the alarm and notify you as soon as the vehicle is compromised or stolen giving you the best chance of recovery.

Additionally MindR Connect is great for managing small fleets with WOF/Licencing/RUC and service reminders all included with our NZTA datalink.

Always know the state of your vehicle with features such as:

  • Real time vehicle location
  • Battery Voltage
  • GSM Jamming Alert
  • Intrusion alert (vehicle is broken into, sounds horn)
  • Theft alert (vehicle is towed, sounds horn)
  • Alert from external alarm
  • Warrant of Fitness Reminders
  • Servicing Reminders
  • Vehicle licencing reminders
  • Live odometer (live off the dash or GPS calculated)
  • Vehicle lock status (CAN bus only)
  • Fuel level (CAN bus only)
