Central Locking Installation

Central Locking Upgrades
Does your car lack central locking? I can retrofit it for you.
Many Japanese cars from the 1990s came with basic central locking but no driver’s door actuator. This means the system only works when you turn the key in the door lock. In other words there is a sensor in the drivers door that you manually switch when you turn the key in the lock. This switch triggers a relay to lock or unlock the other doors.
By installing an additional actuator in the driver’s door, I can upgrade your car to work seamlessly with a modern remote locking system. making it more convenient and secure.
Central Locking Installation Cost?
Installing a central locking actuator typically costs about $100.00 per door. This is in addition to the price of the Keyless Entry System or Alarm.

Keyless Entry Systems
Below are the main keyless entry systems that I recommend. You may also want to consider a car alarm. All alarms that come with a remote offer keyless entry as standard
Viper 412V
The Viper 412V is a keyless entry system from Direct Electronics.
It comes with 2 neat remote controls
Cyclops KE11
The KE11 is a keyless entry system from Cyclops.
I can change the remote controls to Flip Key Remotes
Cyclops 661
The 661 is a very basic alarm from Cyclops which can also work as just a keyless entry system
Flip Key Remote optional
Flip Key Remotes
f you want that factory look and feel with an all in one Flip key remote then these are a very tidy option.
I can program these to work with Cyclops keyless entry systems
Why I don't recommend retro fitted Passive Keyless Entry
Passive keyless entry systems are super convenient. Being able to walk up to your vehicle and have it unlock without even touching the remote is a nice-to-have. Whilst it is a great feature when factory fitted I don’t recommend retro fitted ones. Let me explain why.
Most factory systems manage vehicle battery drain well, even though they can make new cars vulnerable to modern vehicle theft methods. Generally, they only wake up the locking system when you touch the door handle, then the car looks for the proximity remote.
Aftermarket systems are not connected to the door handle so are always awake to look for the remote. This in turn puts an excessive drain on the vehicle battery. This results in a flat battery in a short time. Any convenience offered by the PKE is quickly forgotten about when your car won’t start!
