If you have a Automatic Driver Recognition card then there are times when you probably don’t want to hand the it over, let alone explain how it works. This is when you’ll want to put your alarm into Garage Mode.
Garage Mode is primarily designed for when you are having your vehicle serviced. When activated it turns of some of the programmable features such as:
- High Security System
- Anti Hijacking
The alarm still functions as per normal, but will not require the PIN Code or ADR Card to be handed over.
Garage mode is also useful when your ADR card has been misplaced, damaged, or the battery needs replacing.
Garage Mode Activation:
- Open the driver side door
- Turn the ignition to ON
- Enter the 4 digit PIN Code
- A long flash of the hazard lights confirms activation. There will also be a long beep of the siren when one is fitted.
Garage Mode Deactivation:
- Open the driver side door
- Turn the ignition to ON
- Enter the 4 digit PIN Code
- 5 flashes of the hazard lights confirms deactivation. There will also be 5 beeps of the siren when one is fitted.

There are 2 versions of Garage Mode:
Mode 1: Only allows the alarm to remain in Garage Mode for 10 cycles of the ignition being turned on and off.
Mode 2: Allows Garage Mode to remain active until you turn it back on with the PIN number. Note that Mode 2 does not comply with European homologation rules.
