Thank you for this info. The manual doesn’t explain in detail on how to set clock. I just got this Viper 5706v and I need detailed instructions.
My pleasure. I noticed that clock setting details were hard to find so added them here to make life easy for everyone.
Good to know it’s helped you.
Yes thanks a lot for that info. Also I was trying to find out why my remote doesn’t alert me when a door is left open. I just got my 5606v yesterday. I can leave all the doors open and set the alarm and it has no clue the doors are open. I can’t believe this. Does my installer have to do with this? Thanks again
Hi Donnie,
This is a question you should be asking your installer. If he sold it to you then he should be your first contact for technical support rather then me!
The Alarm is designed to warn you if a door is left open. Are you getting door open warning chirps from the siren?
Took it in. They bypassed that setting because my lights inside dime when the doors are closed and the lights are connected to my doors, so u have to wait for the the lights to dime off or you hear alarm sound. Did u get that? So basically I wait for the lights to dime off, then I set it
Hi Donnie,
What vehicle is it (Make, model, year?)
There are not many cars out there where you can’t wire directly to the door circuit rather than the dome lamp.
2004 Dodge Ram 1500 slt quad cab
Hi Donnie,
Take it back to your installer. Wiring the door circuit up to the dome lamp is just lazy as there is no reason why they could not have wired up to each door and diode split them.
I see way too much of this and there is little excuse for it other then rushing the job.

How do you make the viper 7756v remote vibrate?
My 7756V battery died. After charging it no commands work. The screen is there with everything but time is incorrect and nothing I press works. I hold things for 20 seconds and nothing. Just got this for Christmas and never charged it until it died. Don’t have a clue and new with this device. Dont want to bring it back to dealer as they were brutal in beginning.
Hold the function button until the remote beeps. You’ll now be in the main menu “remote setup” menu.
Use the Aux and Remote start buttons to scroll up and down the menu options. You’ll want the “Remote Setup” menu
Press the function button to select it then scroll to “Page Alert”, select it, then scroll until you find “Vibe” or Vibe Tone”.
Select which one you want.
Job done.
Hi Scott,
I’d need to see the car and the remote to work out what is happening. Take it back to the installer to look at as they have a responsibility to offer technical support. The warranty is with them so they should be your first port of call.
The lock on the screen never changes its always on the unlock position any clue what this might be
Hey I recently purchased a vehicle with an aftermarket viper model#7756v after two weeks of opening it and one trip to a service shop. The viper won’t sync with my factory security system… the dash keeps blinking security and no matter how many times I click arm or disarm the alarm won’t stop sounding and the carr will not start… I’ve tried the whole valet mode thing or so I think. And I can’t locate a reset or bypass switch… just the little clear box under steering wheel which doesn’t seem to do anything and the black antenna button which doesn’t help me either. I really don’t want to have to tow it to a shop and have them take it apart if I don’t have too… was it installed wrong or does it just need to be synced up to the the factory alarm? Please lmk asap thank you
Hi Aaron,
There is not much I can do for you without seeing the car.
If you are local then give me a call to book the car in.
Hello, i am having trouble with my remote 7756v, two days ago it was just not responding. Buttons wont do their required task when it comes to the car. The remote itself seems to be working, i believe it might of lost sync, any ideas, please help
Hi Jose,
You’ll need to contact Viper for Technical help. There is not much I can do without having access to the car and I only cover Wellington
My viper remote is in valet mode and I cant find how to take valet mode off.
I’m assuming you have put the alarm into Valet mode, not the remote.
Read the user manual for your alarm as it explains how it works, or visit your local viper dealer who can show you in person.
