Autowatch Alarm Trigger Report Guide

Most Autowatch alarm user manuals don’t explain how to view fault codes. That means unless you’re an installer with the installation manual, it’s almost impossible to work out why your alarm went off — unless you take it to an approved dealer.

The good news? Almost all Autowatch alarms store a trigger history. The bad news? It’s only saved for 10 ignition cycles, so you need to check it quickly.

Step 1 – Enter Programming Mode

To start you need to let your immobiliser arm, then turn the ignition on:

  •  Wait until the immobiliser arms (the LED should be flashing)
  • Turn the ignition on (the LED should come on solid)

If your alarm doesn’t have an immobiliser

(Models: 279RL, 458RL, 555CLAM, 695CAN)
You’ll need to force the alarm into flash mode:

  • Turn the ignition from off to on 5 times rapidly.
  • On the 5th turn the LED should come on solid

Refer to your user manual for more details.(Direct links are at the bottom of this post.)

Enter the Code 1,2,3

  1. Turn the ignition off and let the LED flash 1 time, before turning the ignition back on (LED will remain on solid whilst the ignition is on)
  2. Turn the ignition off and let the LED flash 2 times, before turning the ignition back on (the LED will remain on solid whilst the ignition is on
  3. Turn the ignition off and let the LED flash 3 times, before turning the ignition back on (the LED should flash rapidly for a second or two)

Enter the Code 1,1

  1. Turn the ignition off and let the LED flash 1 time, before turning the ignition back on (the LED will remain on solid whilst the ignition is on)
  2. Turn the ignition off and let the LED flash 1 time, before turning the ignition back on (the LED will now flash your alarm fault code)

Make a note of the number (or numbers) before turning your ignition off.
