The vehiclesecurity.co.nz website has just had it’s first birthday so I thought it would be a good time to reflect on what impact it has had. The vision for the site was not to copy what the competition was doing, instead the idea was to create a informative site which was designed as a guide to the user.
Thus far I am fairly happy with its progress and whilst there is still plenty of work to do I feel it is having a positive effect. The feed back I get about the site is very constructive.
Monkey See, Monkey Do!
Interestingly enough some of the local competition have taken notice and decided that if they can’t beat the site then to copy it! Whilst I’m not going to name and shame, (You know who you are and I love the fact that you’re reading this) I am quite happy to comment on what is happening out there:
Companies who for the last few years have only dealt with one or two car alarm suppliers are now jumping on the band wagon and offering a wider selection of vehicle security products. I have also noticed that others are posting pictures of vehicle which they have worked on.
Quality Car Security Installation?
NZSA registered installers?
Correct spelling and punctuation? (Yes I am having a pop!)
I hope so because the standards out there are not very high, if what I am doing is making others raise their game then that can only be a good thing for car owners wishing to secure their vehicles.
If you have any comments as to what you’d like to see on the site then please make contact and I’ll see what I can do.
